Day 8
My last day
Despite the sad face thsi was the BEST day of my trip. Why you ask because I was going on my date with Geoff and I got like 10 hrs sleep so I was the most rested that day as well. So when I got up I got ready for my date with Geoff my Irish Leprechaun
Geoff picked me up at 12 right on time (good quality) and we headed off for the bus. We probably sat at the bus stop for about 30 - 45 minutes which was good talking time and then when it finally came we got on and headed upstairs. Then we got off the bus at Trinity College and it was mighty weindy so we headed straight off to catch the dart(liek the go train) and we got to the Tara St. Station and it was closed so we had to walk over to the Pearse St. station which was open (HURRAH). Then we caught the commuter train(which is like the express Go) and we took it down the coast. It was such a beautiful sunny day and Geoff pointed out the stadium where the dublin football team plays and rugby team. Then he pointed out the house of one of the U2 members. Don’t remember who it wasn’t Bono though
Then we got off the train at Graystones and it was soooo beautiful. It was also warmer then in Dublin. So Geoff and I walked down the beach and he held my hand to help keep it warm. It was such a gorgeous walk and we had a perfect view of Bray’s Head a hill. Then we went to Lunch at the Beach house and I had fish and chips and it was soo good. But Geoff thought I was whacky cuz I had ketchup on my fish. But the fish was soo good. After lunch we headed back to catch the train and had a teeny detour through town cuz the wya we came off the train was closed. Then we took the Dart back to dublin and walked around. It was so nice just walking and talking with Geoff. Liz made a good point later that I prolly didn’t complain about the walking as much with him. Which I didn’t because I got to spend time with the him without anyoen else. Then we went to a pub and had a drink and then caught the double bus out to Dun Loaghaire(which is pronounced Dun LEERIE). Once in Dun Loaghaire we walked over to the movie theatre where we met up with everyone (Sarah, Eimear, Lorna, Liz, Neasa, Nancy, Wayne) and we went to see phantom of the Opera whcih was pretty good I enjoyed it. But Minnie driver almost broke my ear drums. Then after the movie Lorna drive Geoff and I back to Neasa’s and I walked him to the end of the street to say goodbye with out the learing eyes of Neasa and Liz (they got to play the parents). After about 30 mins I had to go back because I knew Liz was going to send out a search party. But none the less it was a lovely day. The best of them all ![]()
